This will be the last Ask Mattel Q&A session until August, since 2013 San Diego Comic-Con is just around the corner and therefore there will be nobody at Mattel to answer questions for a while. And judging by some of the answers here, that may have already started. But here we go!
superpowersfan asks: If we get around to a super powers deco kalibak in the dcie will he be oversized like his classic comic counterpart or 6″ but stout , wide and bulky.
Either way might be possible. What would the fans prefer?
superpowersfan asks: With the exception of the super powers deco penguin in wave 1 of batman unlimited we havent gotten a single classic character or a list her or viklain in a classic variant in the retail line. Is the retail of dc and batman unlimited only going to feature new media incarnations from comics, video games and cartoons exclusively or can we expect an 80s or 90s character or characters
Sorry but the DC retail team was unavailable this round to answer questions. We look forward to seeing everyone at SDCC!
Tom asks: Are there to be any villains showing up in the BATMAN UNLIMITED or DC UNLIMITED lines? So far all we have had is the silver age Penguin. There are so many villains yet to be made in the Mattel style: Ra’s, Ventriloquist, Talia, Mad Hatter, etc.
Sorry but the DC retail team was unavailable this round to answer questions. We look forward to seeing everyone at SDCC!
Clark asks: Is there any chance of getting that awesome giant Kryptonian Nam-Ek from Man of Steel in Movie Masters form? Personally I think he would have made a perfect Collec & connect.

Mint Condition Customs asks: I noticed the cost of the figures for 2014 Club Infinite Earths will be $20 apiece, meaning the price has been raised $2 a figure. Have the quantities been lowered from last year? Is that why there’s a price hike, because you guys are quite literally setting the bar lower?
Yes. It is very much related to quota. The fewer of anything we make, the more it costs to make it. Rising labor and material costs also play a role, but quota is a bigger factor.
Well, we got, like…two answers…that’s something I suppose. I may resubmit these for the next session in August, since I know a lot of people want to know the answers to some of these, but even still be on the lookout for the next post to go up so you can submit your own questions to Ask Mattel. Expect it to go up sometime near the end of July.
