News – NECA DJango Unchained Action Figures Discontinued

Recently, some Civil Rights groups have protested NECA’s line of Django Unchained action figures, calling them offensive. It seemed inevitable that an action figure line based on a controversial movie like Django Unchained would receive people being offended, but the Civil Rights uproar seems to have worked, because now the line of action figures is being discontinued. Ask DST #193 – Marvels, Monsters, and Miscellaneous

“Ask DST” is something that Diamond Select Toys has been doing on their Facebook page for quite some time now. I only just realized this to be honest, so I’m going to start posting their Q&A’s here whenever they have new ones. If you want to ask your own questions of DST, just follow this link, “like” the Diamond Select Toys Facebook page, and click where it says “Ask DST” near the top, and fill out the form. It’s that easy!

Why aren’t there any characters from the film X-men First Class in your marvel select line ? Will there be more film based characters in your future marvel select line ?

DST CHUCK: The movie was written and filmed very quickly, so there was not time to execute a full figure. It is way to early to say if we will make movies from the follow up movie, but none are planned for First Class.

Hi Art Asylum My Question Is Did You Ever Think About Making Jean Claude Van Damme Movies Figures Like Cyborg,Double Impact ,Death Warrant, Or Street Fighter Movie Figures And 1984 A-Team,Croba(Stallone),Barbarian Twins(Peter&David)Rapid Fire(Brandon Lee),Jackie Chan,Last Action Hero Movie Figures? Review – Gunner Jensen – Expendables 2, Diamond Select Toys

Expendables 2 Gunner Jensen Figure Diamond Select Toys

The Expendables has become a hit franchise, reigniting the careers of some of the greatest action stars of the last 30 years. When word hit that Diamond Select Toys got the license for the Expendables 2 and was releasing an action figure line, I was more than a little excited. I love the movies and am a huge Sylvester Stallone fan, so the more figures of characters from his movies, the better.

Of course I’ll try my best to stay objective in the review, but I may not be able to help but let my fanboy show once and a while. I already reviewed the Barney Ross figure for Toy News International, but today I’m taking a look Gunner Jensen, the character played by Dolph Lundgren in the movies. So join me as I take a closer look.
