Mattel Mattycollector Logo

1.) When willy you make a Batmobile for a 6″ Batman? Any 6” Batman?

You should be excited by the new Batman line that we’ve created coming out with the movie….

Editor’s Note: This wasn’t the question I submitted. The first question I actually submitted to Mattel was from NICKOLAS and read: “MY QUESTION IS WILL YOU MAKE A DC UNIVERSE CLASSICS BATCAVE OR BATMOBILE FOR YOUR
BATMAN FIGURE?” Granted this is a similar question, which is probably why it got mixed up, but I wanted to clarify it wasn’t one I submitted.

2.) Muten Chaoz asks: When is the schedule of a re-release for Battle Armor He-Man, Vikor, and also King Grayskull on MattyCollector?

News – Marvel Legends Avengers Movie Figures in Package, Hulk Revealed

Hasbro Marvel Legends 2012 Movie Avengers Hulk Hawkeye Captain America Loki Thor Iron ManApparently the Hasbro Marvel Legends movie Avengers figures have leaked, and thanks to xmeteorz of TheFwoosh forums, we have new images of the Walmart exclusive figures!

Most of these were already revealed as prototypes at conventions within the last year, however here we get a peek at a not yet revealed figure: Movie Hulk! That’s right, it looks as if Hasbro is making a Hulk figure based on his appearance in the Avengers movie in Marvel Legends style. He looks pretty big in package. They even had to fold his arms and squat his legs just to get him to fit in the package.

Hasbro stated that these figures will be released either before or during the release of the Avengers movie on Blu-ray/DVD. Some of these 6″ figures feature the new style of rocker ankles Hasbro has been implementing, such as the movie Hulk figure. However, Iron Man seems to be a repack from the previous Walmart exclusive Iron Man 2 6″ figure wave. Each figure comes with a display stand.

In addition, images of the cardbacks can be seen, showing the cross-sells!

Cartoon Network Beware the BatmanCartoon Network released a press release yesterday from their Upfront presentation announcing new and returning series. DC may be pleased to know that the rumored “Beware the Batman” cartoon is officially coming out, and they can also expect the return of both Young Justice and Green Lantern. Star Wars have something to look forward to as well, with the return of Clone Wars for another season. However, one show that seemed to be missing was the new ThunderCats cartoon. The fact that the show was not listed in the press release could be a dark foreshadowing of its future. Once official word on its cancellation or renewal is announced, the news will be passed along to you. Three New Guides and Tutorials Posted

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I have three new guides posted in the Guides and Tutorials section.

The first one is How to Fix a Stuck Waist Joint. I go over the best ways to get your action figure’s waist joint moving again. I just got the new Marvel Legends 2012 Piledriver figure and his waist couldn’t move! So I decided to fix it and make a tutorial on it.

The second is How to Conform Styrene and Plastic Sheets to Shapes and Action Figures. Here, I teach you how to take a piece of polystyrene and get it to perfectly conform around a part of your figure.

And my last new tutorial is How to Make Custom Decals and Insignias. It’s kind of a tough one if you’re unfamiliar with Photoshop, or if you don’t have it at all, but it’s essential if you’re making any character that has a patch, or logo, or insignia on his suit, because not even the steadiest of hands can match what a computer can do.

Alright, that’s all for now. I just wanted to update everybody on the new guides, and I hope they help you in your customizing endeavors!

Introducing the Articulated Comic Book Art Flickr group!

For those that don’t know what Articulated Comic Book Art is (ACBA for short), it’s basically a blending of comic book art and photos taken of action figures as a way to blend several forms of media into one.

It was created by Kendel Gray aka Boognice10 of youtube, and has become a huge group on Facebook.

I’ve now created a Flickr group for anyone to join to showcase your ACBA skills. My plan is to post an “ACBA of the Day” of sorts every day here on the site to help bring more attention to the art and the artists.

Click here to join the group and start adding your photos. I look forward to seeing everybody’s work and look forward to showcasing it here on Mint Condition Customs.

For a full detailed description of what Articulated Comic Book Art is, I’ve included one below. Read it after the jump!

Custom Darth Knight Action Figure on eBay

Hey everyone, just posting that I’ve listed my custom Darth Knight Action Figure on eBay.

I know, I already listed him once, but the buyer was unresponsive and then decided to back out, so I figured instead of going through a long and arduous process with eBay that ultimately wouldn’t get them to pay anyway, I just decided to relist it.

So if you thought about bidding before, then here’s your chance.

Just click here to see the listing.

Happy bidding!
