Hey everyone! I had so much fun customizing that last Man of Steel Superman figure, I thought I’d try out something different. So I took a Movie Masters Man of Steel Superman and painted him in Justice Lords colors. I even repainted his head to look more realistic and angry, and gave him an alternate “heat vision blast” head. And I made two different sets of heat vision, one long and more wild looking, the other shorter with smoke coming off of the ends, to recreate the scene from the episode of Justice League where Justice Lords Superman lobotomizes Doomsday! Click here or the photo below to check out the full photo set and a detailed description of how it was made.
This custom is also currently for auction on eBay right now. If you’re interested, feel free to bid. If you know someone who might be, pass the link along!
Thanks for looking!

Another figure revealed today is the upcoming Injustice Green Lantern figure that’s going to be a part of the DC Comics Unlimited toy line from Mattel. It looks like it fits in with the other Injustice figures currently out now, but instead of being based on the regular version of Green Lantern from the game, it looks like it’s based on his “Regime” alternate costume in the game.
An image has been circulating the web today of the upcoming Beware the Batman 6″ figure set to be released in the Batman Unlimited toy line from Mattel. It’s hyper stylized to match the show, and more or less has the same kind of articulation we’ve come to expect from DCUC figures.
Ever since the Arkham City toy line was announced, fans have clamored for a figure of Hugo Strange. He’s the penultimate villain of the game (mostly), so I would think he deserves a figure. Well it seems DC Collectibles agrees, and they’re releasing him as a 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive. This may cause some fans to groan, since it’s not always the easiest thing to get a hold of SDCC exclusives if you don’t go to the show, but I’m sure the figure will find its way to fans that want it. This is definitely better than them not releasing the figure at all, and I can understand the decision to make Hugo Strange a 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.
I know it’s been a couple of days since the reveal of the upcoming DC Collectibles Batman: Arkham Origins figures, but they just revealed a brand new Arkham Asylum Bane figure to be released, so I thought I’d put everything in this one post! Yes that’s right, good news for Arkham Asylum Bane fans. Many fans have lamented that figure, because for the longest time he’s been extremely expensive on the secondary market. Heck, I even sold mine a couple of months back, just in case DC Collectibles decided to make a new one. I guess I was right! So for those who missed out on him, you get another (better) chance. Bane will be in a two-pack with Arkham Asylum Batman later this year, and will be taller, and have lots more articulation than before.

It’s that time again for Ask Mattel. If you’d like to ask Mattel a question about any of its brands, leave them as comments to this post. I’ll pick five out of the bunch to be answered on June 1st, 2013. All questions need to be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on May 14th, 2013.
