
For anyone who likes to visit this site, you may have noticed a complete lack of updates for the past few months. A lot has been going on my life that kept me mostly off the internet. I recently moved to a new apartment, and it took forever for them to get internet access to my new place. I was reduced to using my phone for a few basic things whenever I had a good signal. I had to spend much longer than I expected setting up my new office and workspace as well, as even after we moved in, the apartment complex maintenance wasn’t completely finished setting things up, so that was frustrating. I also recently had a family member pass away. That took up quite a bit of my time, as I was trying to console her while we dealt with everything you have to in that situation. Continue reading

Last Week I was talking with Randy Falk from NECA about their process for fabricating weapons and accessories for their action figures. As a customizer, I’m always curious about learning new techniques and improving my craft. He told me that he’d see about doing a step-by-step behind the scenes of what it takes for them to make a weapon accessory, and sure enough that has happened. In what will be the first of many, this is the beginning of NECA Toys making a weapon accessory.
We all have a vague understanding of where the toys we buy off the pegs come from. We know there are factories involved, assembly line workers, probably some computers doing…computing stuff…but how many people out there ever really stopped to ponder the full process of what it takes to make even a single action figure?

Apparently there is a picture floating around out of Hong Kong of a series of Amazing Spider-Man 6″ movie figures. Well, two of them are movie figures, and the third is the previously seen Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man.
