Hey guys! It’s a new year, and here’s the first batch of custom of 2013. First, I’ve done a 3 3/4″ scale set of the Wonder Twins with their monkey pal Gleek to fit in with the DC Infinite Heroes figures. Then, I made a 6″ figure of the character Ian Glover Vampire Hunter from the Webcomic series of the same name, by Jayfri Hashim. Click here to check out the Webcomic, it’s pretty awesome. And click on each photo below to go to the custom’s corresponding page to check out the full photo set and descriptions for how I made them. Thanks for looking!

The character of Ian Glover comes from the Webcomic of the same name by Jayfri Hashim. He asked me to create a custom figure of his title character, and I was more than happy to oblige. The series is described by the creator as:
“A webcomic Based on a freelance vampire hunter, Ian Glover, and his Father John Glover, as they work hand in hand with the Vigilante Vatican Force to save mankind from extinction.”
After that, I was very excited to get to work. I made Ian Glover using the body of a Young Justice Superboy, and the jacket and arms, funnily enough, from a DCUC Superboy. I just cracked open both of their torsos and gave YJ Superboy the new arms. Then, I painted the entire figure in the correct red and black color scheme. I gave him his cross straps that go over his chest, made from Mr. Sinister cape straps. They hold the scabbards on his back. Those are made from polystyrene, and his swords are come from the new 2012 TMNT Leonardo figure. I resculpted the grips so when they were holstered, the swords blended into the scabbards. Then I painted those, gave Superboy some sunglasses from my fodder bin, and Ian Glover was ready to hunt down some vampires!
NECA has tweeted several photos of their upcoming Aliens Hicks and Hudson action figures. Included are several unpainted test shot images, and a couple of painted shots. Also shown are some pics of the Alien Warrior that will be included in Aliens Series 1. These figures are due out next Spring.

NECA recently added new images for their upcoming Predators Series 8 Major Dutch Schaefer action figure. Included in the images is an unpainted test shot to whet the appetites of Predator fans. Series 8 includes two different versions: Jungle Extraction Dutch and Jungle Patrol Dutch. Look for series 8 in February. These are sure to be big sellers, since this marks the first time a human character from the Predator movies has been made into action figure form by NECA.
Jungle Extraction Dutch is faithful to his appearance as they first enter the jungle, complete with military shirt and vest, features over 20 points of articulation, an M-16, Pistol, Machete, and Knife accessories. Jungle Patrol Dutch is immortalized in his camo muscle shirt and vest and features over 20 points of articulation, an M-16, Pistol, and Knife accessories.

When American McGee created his vision for Alice in Wonderland with his first game in 2000, it quickly became a cult hit amongst gamers. The sequel was highly anticipated amongst fans, and features a lot of character design changes, since Wonderland is meant to represent Alice’s state of mind, and in the second game, Alice: Madness Returns, it’s deteriorated even more. I recently reviewed the Diamond Select Toys Alice: Madness Returns action figure. That was not the only figure made in that line though, and today I’ll be taking a look at the Alice: Madness Returns Card Guard action figure. So join me as I see if this figure is worthy of a spot on your toy shelf.

This is the wave that includes the classic Predator from the first movie, as well as two figures of the main protagonist Dutch. This is a very exciting wave, considering this is the first one with any of the human characters from any of the movies, and this marks the first time NECA has made the classic Predator. Here are the official names for each figure in the wave:
Jungle Extraction Dutch Schaefer
Jungle Patrol Dutch Schaefer
Masked Jungle Hunter Predator
These are currently up for pre-order on BigBadToyStore and are set to be released in February of 2013. Continue after the jump for the full image.

In case you missed it, I recently reviewed the NECA Toys Half Life 2 Gordon Freeman action figure for Toy News International. Just click here to check it out. Thanks!
To celebrate Evil Dead 2’s 25th anniversary, NECA Toys has been steadily releasing action figures based on the movie. Up until now, they’ve all been variants of Bruce Campbell’s character Ash Williams. However, now we’re getting a brand new character in Henrietta. In the movie, Henrietta was portrayed by Ted Raimi, director Sam Raimi’s little brother. He had to be inside this torturous foam latex fat suit all day, and they reportedly had to frequently drain his sweat from it. That part has no bearing on this review, but if it grossed you out, then I’m just preparing you for this figure. It’s disgusting.
In the movie, Henrietta was the wife of Professor Knowby, the former owner of the cabin that Ash and crew get stuck in. He had read from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, or Book of the Dead. This released an ancient Evil Force that ended up possessing his wife Henrietta. Professor Knowby was forced to dismember her and lock her in the cellar to save his own life, and with the cabin full of people and the Evil Force stronger than ever, they now have to contend with the lady of the house.
So join me as I take a look a closer look at Henrietta!
