News – 2013 SDCC Exclusive MOTUC Mini He-Man & Skeletor Figures Revealed
Now this is a cool bit of news. Finishing up Mattel’s week long 2013 San Diego Comic-Con reveals, we conclude with something a lot of fans might find familiar. Mattel is releasing a 2 pack of stylized mini figures of He-Man and Skeletor, based on their designs from the iPhone game that came out last year. Fans will notice that these figures look very reminiscent of the “Mini Masters” that the Four Horsemen sculpted and had presented on display at conventions this past year. They were never something Mattel was going to for sure release, just one of those things the Four Horsemen love doing on their own to gauge interest.
If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear that the character designs for the iPhone game were purposefully modeled after those Mini Masters, so Mattel would have a viable excuse to release them. They don’t look exactly like those sculpts, but they’re close enough to make the comparison for sure.

Ask Mattel – Answers for May 1st, 2013
Black Arbor asks: If the 60’s Batman series does well at retail (fingers crossed!), is it possible we’ll see figures of some of the one-off guest villains and supporting characters?
That’s always a possibility!
RXOK asks: Will Catwoman from the 60’s line have her mask on or off? Or will there be a variant of both like TDKR Catwoman had?

This won’t be in the subscription at all, and will only be available for sale at 2013 San Diego Comic-con, and then later on Mattycollector.com. Well I have to say, this is a surprise. For those expecting Granny Goodness, a new Doomsday, or even Sgt. Rock, you might be disappointed in this reveal. For those excited about the New 52, this may be for you.

Got Any Questions For Mattel?
This is a Featured Post. Scroll down for newer content.
It’s that time again for Ask Mattel. If you’d like to ask Mattel a question about any of its brands, leave them as comments to this post. I’ll pick five out of the bunch to be answered on May 15th, 2013. All questions need to be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on April 30th, 2013.
Ask Mattel – Answers for April 15th, 2013
Holy inquiries, Batman! The fans have spoken, and they have a lot of questions about the upcoming 1966 Adam West Batman toy line that Mattel is putting out. It’s not too surprising though, there is a lot of buzz surrounding it. So yes, this round is mostly Batman related questions. But enough from me, let’s get to the Q&A!
Black Arbor asks: At Toy Fair in February, we saw the mock-up packaging for the 60′s batman figures. Now, on the Batman and Robin two pack with a wall display base, Robin’s word balloon says “Holy High-rise, Batman!” which is perfectly fine, considering it’s a building side display, but for the single figure packaging his word balloon says the same thing. Is it possible to have Robin’s word balloon on each figures card be different? For example, maybe Batman’s packaging could have him saying ” Holy Happenstance!” and the Riddler’s packaging could have him saying ” Holy inquisition!”. Again, this is just a suggestion, and I’m very excited for these figures!
Holy Interesting Idea! The Classic TV Series Batman line is scheduled to hit shelves this summer. You’ll have to check out the packaging then!
CAL asks: Looking forward to the Batman 1966 line. Has Mattel considered releasing the Romero Joker with a Joker utility belt ? Those episodes where among my very top favorites of the show.

Ask Mattel – Answers for April 1st, 2013
Hey everyone! Here are the answers to the questions submitted by you for April 1st, 2013 as a part of Ask Mattel. Check ’em out!
Donald M asks: Toyguru has already assured us there won´t be another price increase in 2014-2015 for MotU, is this still correct
For 2014 the prices will be flat. We are too far off from 2015 to give any details. It is possible prices may increase again in 2015 or 2016 depending on what happens to the costs we can’t control like raw material and labor.
Tom asks: Since the DCUC LEGION 12 pack sold decently that is was released twice and the current DCIE is limited each year, what about offering more LEGION characters as a club similar to how the WATCHMEN is done. If a 5 pack set was released every quarter it would almost complete the team. There would be a bunch of minimal sculpt figures like Dream Girl, Element Lad and Shadow Lass, but the Club wold help cover costs for sculpts Like Blok and Tellus. Could a survey be done to see if there is interest?
