All throughout yesterday sneak peeks were posted about the upcoming NECA Pacific Rim Series 3 action figures. The figures revealed for series 3 are:
Kaiju Axehead

NECA also wanted to be very clear that the Kaiju for this series is named “Axehead” and not “Trespasser” as he’s known as to fans for a reason. There are more Kaiju to come! Continue after the jump to check out the sneak peeks for NECA Pacific Rim series 3!

I just wanted to let everyone know that the NECA Predators Series 10 figures are now available for sale at NECA’s eBay store! This is the wave that’s all inspired by the classic 90’s Kenner figures. It features modern versions of the Lava Planet Predator, Nighstorm Predator, and the Hive Wars Predator. I personally can’t wait to own these, since I loved those Kenner Predator figures back in the day. Just CLICK HERE or the photo below to go to the eBay listing page. The NECA Predators series 10 figures are also shipping to retailers this month, so be on the lookout! And what could possibly go better with some Kenner inspired NECA Predators figures but some Kenner inspired NECA Aliens? If you want something cool to go with series 10 of the Predators figures, you can bid on my custom Kenner Aliens figures right now on eBay. I’ve customized Sgt. Apone and the Bull Alien and used their original Kenner figures as the complete inspiration.
I hope this helps anyone wanting the new NECA Predators figures to get them!
Hey everyone. I have some new customs for you, just in time for the Halloween season. So, do you remember the old Kenner Aliens toy line from the early 90’s? I know I do. It’s one of my favorite toy lines, although I’m biased since Aliens is one of my favorite movies so of course a toy line based on it will catch my interest. At any rate, I was recently hit with inspiration to recreate the old Kenner Aliens figures, but in a more modern, realistic style that blends in with the new NECA figures. To kick things off, I started with two of my favorite figures from that line, Sgt. Apone and the Bull Alien. I’m thinking of releasing them two at a time, each time being one Colonial Marine and one Xenomorph to go with it. This is the start of what’s going to be a new line of custom figures from me, recreating pretty much the entire Kenner Aliens line. Be sure to click the links below below to view the corresponding page for the entire photo set and a detailed description of the process I went through to make each custom.
Custom Sgt. Apone Figure
Custom Bull Alien Figure
Also, both of these customs are currently for auction on eBay. If you’re interested in owning either of them, feel free to bid. If you know someone who might be, then please pass the links along. Click each photo below to see the eBay listing to place your bids.
Thanks for looking!

Remember the awesome Kenner Aliens toy line from the early 90’s? It’s always been one of my favorites. Recently I was hit with inspiration to recreate several of the old Kenner figures, but in a modern, more realistic, NECA style. The Bull Alien was always one of my top favorites from that line, so I knew I had to start with him. It’s mostly a NECA Xenomorph, but heavily modified. I had to completely rework the back legs, cutting a lot off, dremeling, and reshaping in order to get them in the same pose and look as the hind legs of the original Bull Alien figure. The front and back feet, horns, and a couple of other pieces actually come from the original Bull Alien figure, I just made them fit and blend in with the NECA figure. The scorpion barb on the end of his tail comes from a Spider-Man Classics Mac Gargan Venom figure.
I sculpted the forehead using Aves Apoxie Sculpt to make it bigger and look more like the original Bull Alien. I also recreated the original Bull Alien figure’s “skull ramming” action feature by making an extra neck piece you can attach the figure to give it the same extended look. Then I completely repainted the figure, using the original Kenner Bull Alien as my guide. Then I dry brushed some gloss clear coat over the entire thing to give it that gross, wet look the xenomorphs always have. And now the Bull Alien is ready to ram down some Colonial Marines! I plan to do an entire line of Kenner Aliens updates, both the Colonial Marines and the Xenomorphs, so be sure to check back here at Mint Condition Customs for more updates!

Remember the awesome Kenner Aliens toy line from the early 90’s? It’s always been one of my favorites. Recently I was hit with inspiration to recreate several of the old Kenner figures, but in a modern, more realistic, NECA style. After looking at Sgt. Apone, all the parts immediately came to me and I knew I had to do it. Sgt. Apone here is “frankensteining” at its best. He’s made from the body of a NECA Jungle Patrol Dutch, the head and arms of an Expendables 2 Hale Caesar, and the lower legs of a NECA Half Life 2 Gordon Freeman. His web gear was taken from a NECA Hicks figure, and made to fit in a similar style as the original Sgt. Apone figure. The bio-mechanical arm is pieced together from terminator bits and random pieces of fodder.
The rifle came from an Alien Resurrection Ripley figure. I remade the original figure’s grenades using various bits of fodder, and some polystyrene. I gave mine a chain in the middle and I made each one a bit different, as if they’re carrying different kinds of payloads. I know, I’ve thought far too much about this. The facehugger comes from the old Kenner toy line, just repainted to look like the movie. I painted Sgt. Apone using the original Kenner figure as my guide, making sure I got the exact same color scheme, making him look as totally 90’s as possible. So now Sgt. Apone is ready for some bug stomping action! I plan to do an entire line of Kenner Aliens updates, both the Colonial Marines and the Xenomorphs, so be sure to check back here at Mint Condition Customs for more updates!
A tweet was just sent out showing off the packaging design for the highly anticipated, upcoming NECA ED-209 Deluxe Boxed Figure. The NECA ED-209 was announced a good while ago. They showed off a prototype for it, but not much else has been seen or heard from about it since then, until now. We know that the ED-209 will be in scale with the NECA Robocop 7″ figures, will be fully articulated, and feature dialogue and sound effects! This monster of a toy is due to be out in stores between 4-6 weeks, so most likely sometime in November. You can pre-order the NECA ED-209 right now at BigBadToyStore.
Check eBay to catch up on the NECA Robocop action figures so you have something to display with your ED-209!

NECA tweeted a picture a couple of days ago teasing their upcoming Rambo First Blood Part II action figure coming in 2014. Many fans are excited about this one, since this is most definitely Rambo’s most iconic look, and therefore the one fans remember most. It doesn’t help that for 80’s kids there was a Rambo cartoon series and subsequent action figure line that also helped ingrain this particular look for Rambo into their brains. So there should be no surprise at the amount of excitement surrounding this release. Last month there was a teaser revealed for a possible prototype of a NECA Rambo from First Blood Part II, and now it seems like a safe bet to say that was indeed for this figure. When an actual release date is announced, you can bet I’ll post about it here.

The NECA Pacific Rim series 2 figures are now available on the NECA eBay store
. This series includes the Jaeger Stryker Eureka, a battle damaged Gipsy Danger with chain swords on each arm, and the Kaiju Leatherback. According to NECA, they have a very limited quantity available there. They are also shipping series 2 to retailers, but if you don’t want to wait or don’t feel like hunting, you can purchase them directly from NECA through eBay by CLICKING HERE or on the picture below. Considering how quickly series 1 sold out and how rare it’s become, I’d say that if you’re collecting these figures, this is a good way to get it. I hope this helps out anyone looking to complete their NECA Pacific Rim collection.
NECA loves giving us sneak peeks via Twitter! This time they posted images of the card backs for the NECA Predators series 10 figures. This series will be the Kenner inspired wave, which will have three updates to the classic 90’s Kenner Predator action figures. This wave will feature the Lava Planet Predator, Nightstorm Predator, and Hive Wars Predator. I absolutely love the old 90’s Kenner Predator figures (the Aliens figures too), so I can’t wait to add these to my collection.
