An image was just tweeted out for #facehuggerfriday revealing our first look at the upcoming NECA Alien vs Predator Kenner inspired 2 pack. Earlier today, NECA tweeted out a picture showing the size comparison of one of their upcoming Alien VS Predator figures with their older Predator figures. The AVP Predators were much taller than the ones from the first or second movies, so this makes sense. The NECA AVP Predator will be 100% new tooling, as they are meant to be taller and bulkier, and they will be doing more than one. The NECA AVP Predator figure should be out sometime over the Summer. Hey everyone! Had to take a break from updating the customs for a couple of weeks in order to get some commissions done. I’m back with a new one, just in time for Halloween! This week I bring you a movie concept of Dutch Schaefer in Predator armor! I always thought it would be awesome to see Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character of Dutch back in another Predator movie, decked out in his old enemy’s armor, maybe hunting down other Predators for the U.S. government. How awesome would that have been? So I took a NECA Predator, stripped all the armor and weapons off, and put them on Dutch. I even included a severed Predator head as a trophy! Sick, right? The design for Predator Armor Dutch was inspired by a mix of the old Kenner toys, and my desire to see Dutch show up again in another Predator movie. I thought it would have been cool to see Dutch hunting Predators for the U.S. government. Imagine if Schwarzennegger was in the Predators movie, but in the Laurence Fishburne role of Nolan! That would have been awesome. Predator Armor Dutch is made using a NECA Jungle Encounter Dutch, and a NECA Predator, of course. I stripped off all the armor and weapons from the Predator, and basically attached them to Dutch. I used the two pack Dutch, which was all bloodied, so I had to completely repaint him to clean him up. I had to do some major dremeling to the Predator wrist gauntlets, and to Dutch’s forearms, to get them to slip on. I had to dremel some of Dutch’s side to get the armor to fit right as well. I glued all the armor down, and even attached a net launcher from a NECA Predator 2 figure. So now that Dutch is utilizing all the weapons and armor of his greatest enemy, he’s ready to hunt down every last Predator that makes its way to Earth!
The new Bad Blood Predator and all of the Predators Series 12 (Enforcer Predator, Viper Predator, and Elder Predator 2.0) action figures have just been listed on the NECA eBay store. The best part is that they’re all retail price. I was pleasantly surprised by that. If you hate waiting for stores to get in new figures like I do, this is perfect. Just follow each link below to take you to the corresponding eBay page. If you get all four, you save a ton of money on shipping. I definitely can’t wait to get mine in so I can reenact some scenes from the Dark Horse Bad Blood Predator comic! Which NECA Predator figure from series 12 is your favorite? I know it had mixed reactions, but I love the 2010 Aliens Vs. Predator video game. One of my favorite characters in the game was Corporal Teresa “Tequila” Aquila. She was smart, strong, and wasn’t afraid to tackle with some xenos. I love the character, and I love the idea of expanding the ranks, so I just had to customize her. I pored over several screenshots of the Tequila character from the Aliens Vs. Predator video game to make sure I got this custom down as accurately as possible. Be sure to check out the official page for Tequila to see the full photo set as well as a detailed description of how it was made. Also, this custom is currently for auction on eBay. She was smart, strong, and wasn’t afraid to tackle with some xenos. I love the character, and I love the idea of expanding the ranks, so I just had to customize her. Tequila is made using the upper body (and upper legs) from a NECA Portal 2 Chell figure, with the lower legs, armor, and pulse rifle from a NECA Aliens Corporal Hicks. I pored over several screenshots of the Tequila character from the Aliens Vs. Predator video game to make sure I got this custom down as accurately as possible. She had several personal details on her armor in the game that I replicated here, including the name “Louis” on her chest, and a decal that says “I ‘heart’ guns”. Tequila also has a U.S.M.C. tattoo, and a series of star tattoos. I weathered the armor and decals to look realistic, and painted her pants to look like what a Colonial Marine would wear. I had to so some tailoring on the armor to get it to fit right, and then I added some straps, gave her a shoulder lamp and pulse rifle, and now Corporal Tequila is ready to go bug stomping!
We all know how much NECA loves teasing their upcoming figures. Today on the NECA Twitter page, they showed off an image of their upcoming Predator figure painted to look like his classic NES video game sprite. It’s becoming its own niche series with NECA now, repainting their figures to look like their old video game sprites. The latest is their classic video game appearance Robocop on sale now in their eBay store. The Predator will be packed in a box made to look like the old NES Predator game case, just like the other classic video game figures they’ve done. And check out that paint job! Even if it didn’t like to the old video game it still looks fantastic. The Classic Video Game Appearance Predator is set to go on sale sometime this Spring.

The other day an image of the NECA Predators Series 11 figures was shown off on the official NECA Twitter account. The picture revealed packaged samples of the Series 11 figures, which is set to include Thermal Vision Dutch, Battle Armor Lost Predator, and the Wasp Predator from the Dead End short film. NECA Predators Series 11 is set to be released before the end of 2013, so be on the lookout.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the NECA Predators Series 10 figures are now available for sale at NECA’s eBay store! This is the wave that’s all inspired by the classic 90’s Kenner figures. It features modern versions of the Lava Planet Predator, Nighstorm Predator, and the Hive Wars Predator.
