During the Hasbro Toy Panel, they revealed a new size class for the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron toy line. They’re going to make a Voyager sized Soundwave based on his design from the game! This was a huge surprise to the fans in the audience.
His design hasn’t altered too much from the first game, but the figure looks great. He looks big, and he has friends! Soundwave will include his 4 original tapes, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Ratbat, and Frenzy. However, now they’re not tapes but instead they’re “Data Discs”. They look like thick oversized CD’s and fit right in Soundwave’s chest. Also included are some Decepticon themed cases for the discs to sit in that you’re not currently using for Soundwave.
He looks like he’s going to be quite an amazing figure. Continue after the jump for lots of hi-def photos!
One of Hasbro’s exclusives for this year’s Sand Diego Comic-Con was revealed today. It’s going to be a zombified version of Cliffjumper nicknamed “Rust in Piece” Cliffjumper. It’s made to resemble how Cliffjumper appeared on the episode where his body was resurrected with Dark Energon.
Among the reveals today, Hasbro had some new Transformers Cyberverse sets in a Transformers Prime theme. The new sets include an Energon Driller with character Knockout, the Star Hammer with Wheeljack, and a huge playset called Optimus Maximus. This has two modes, robot and battle station. It appears that when in battle station mode, you can fit the small Transformers vehicles included with the Cyberverse sets in Optimus Maximus, to make the ultimate Cyberverse vehicle.
For the Transformers Kreo fans, there were a few new sets revealed today. Chief among them is a very large Devastator Kreo set. It’s going to include 560 pieces, and can be put together 9 different ways. You can put the pieces together to form all 4 robots that make up Devastator. You can also build all 4 robots in vehicle mode, and of course build Devastator himself. The set also includes 6 mini figures, and some construction site set pieces to build a truly awesome scene.
