Over the past week, several toy websites and youtubers have gotten to each reveal a new Marvel Legends action figure. They’ve all been Wolverine related, making many think they were going to be in a new wave. It’s now been revealed that they’re all a part of an upcoming Amazon Exclusive 5 pack box set. The set is themed around comic book Wolverine characters. The set will include: Shirtless battle damaged Wolverine, Omega Red, Cyber, Callisto of the Morlocks, and Jason Wyngarde (AKA Mastermind) of the Hellfire Club. The set is currently priced at $120.99 and is scheduled to be released December 15, 2021.
Hey everyone. I’ve got a new custom action figure to show you. This time I’ve made Dark Claw from Amalgam Comics, the hybrid between Batman and Wolverine during the mid 90’s Marvel VS DC Comics crossover event! Even if you’ve never read the comic, you’re probably familiar with the image. He has a striking and ridiculous design, and the fact that it’s Batman and Wolverine combined makes sense that he’s always been a fan favorite. This was a commissioned piece. Dark Claw is made from a Marvel Legends Juggernaut Wave Wolverine, with a whole bunch of sculpting, fabricating, and painting, with a poseable cape! Be sure to check out the full photo set and description HERE. And also make sure you check out the Youtube video, featuring a ton of exclusive WIP photos! Thanks for taking a look.

This Dark Claw custom action figure is based on the popular Marvel Vs. DC Comics crossover from the mid 90’s. In it, two supreme beings from either universe force their champions to fight to see who has the better fighters. Sound ridiculous and petty? I miss 90’s superhero comics. It resulted in the two universes fusing together for a short time, forming Amalgam Comics. One such character that came from this was Dark Claw, a fusion of Batman and Wolverine. Even if you’re not familiar with the story, chances are you’ve seen images of the character somewhere. Dark Claw has always been a fan favorite. And why not? It’s Batman and Wolverine! Seems like a winning combo to me.
Dark Claw was made using the Marvel Legends Juggernaut Wave Wolverine as the base, with a whole bunch of sculpting, fabricating, and painting. The claws are real metal, made from bobby pins and carefully worked and sanded to get the grooves in, make them pointed, and give them a polished finish. The ear, arm, and leg fins are crafted from polystyrene and blended with Aves Apoxie Sculpt. The Belt details are also made from styrene. The mouth was sculpted over to finish off the mask detail. The shoulder cover cape from a LCBH Wrarrl cape that I sculpted on top of to get the spikes. The cape was cut from a pattern of my own, and given wires going down either side and installed in the shoulder area, so it can be posed dramatically to help give the figure more character. The rest of the figure just required a lot of black paint and a bit of yellow. It was a lot of fun giving life to this crazy 90’s throwback character. Some day I might make his nemesis The Hyena, or his sidekick Sparrow to join him.
Hey guys. I have a new custom up in the archive. This time, I did Logan as he was portrayed by Hugh Jackman in the various X-Men movies, as a way to help celebrate the new movie, The Wolverine, coming out next year. He comes with a great likeness to Jackman, removable jacket, two sets of arms (jacketed, and bare), and two sets of hands (claws out, and normal fists), and is fully poseable. Be sure to check out the full photo set and description by clicking here.

Seeing as how The wolverine movie is set to come out next year, I felt it would be cool to put out a custom movie style Logan figure, in his civilian clothes. I didn’t intend for him to be based on any one movie. This is more of a general custom based on the look he had through all of the X-Men movies, so he could blend in to any X-Men movie display. I used what I considered the best parts to assemble the best possible movie style Logan figure I could. The head is from an X2 Claw Strike Wolverine (which is the best likeness to Hugh Jackman I’ve ever seen on an action figure), the torso is from a Diamond Select Toys Deluxe 50’s Angel, the legs, jacket, and jacket arms come from an X2 Battle Attack Logan, the bare arms, and interchangeable hands come from an X2 Street Fight Logan figure, and the dog tags come from a Sota Street Fighter Guile.
First, I had to remove the Battle Attack Logan torso fromt he legs, then I had to do some dremeling to the 50’s Angel torso to make it fit over the waist swivel disc in the legs. Luckily, the DST Deluxe Buffy and Angel figures’ torsos are all soft resin, so with a little heat you can get this to work. And it makes removing the arms a breeze too. I just had to dremel out some space in the shoulder sockets, sand down the joint discs in each pair of the Logan arms, and now you can switch between both looks. I also modified the neck so his head could move up and down, in addition to turning left and right. I had to paint the exposed skin on the torso to match the bare Logan arms, and do the same to Logan’s face, since they were all three different shades of flesh tone, then I had to repaint Logan’s facial hair and stubble. I added some realistic shading to his tank top, glued the dog tags in place on the back of his neck, and that was that. Now he’s super poseable, and can be switched between two different distinct looks from the movies.
