Mondo is definitely a smaller company. They specialize in posters, apparel, and even sometimes toys. Their latest foray into the toy world is actually something I’ve wanted for a very long time. Dubbed “The First Turtle“, it’s a vinyl figure based on Kevin Eastman’s original sketch of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, when he was just trying to draw something to make partner Peter Laird laugh. Pre-orders are up right now on their site. You can actually get this figure in many different forms. There’s the black and white sketch version, a full color version with classic Mirage red bandana, and one with an orange Michelangelo bandana (The First Turtle was drawn with nunchaku after all), or the Deluxe black and white version, which includes three alternate heads.
