Yesterday Mattel sent out an update to affiliate sites regarding their Back to the Future 2 Hoverboard prop replica. The hoverboard will feature the ability to glide over most floors and will feature electronics giving it the sound it makes in the movie. It will be available for preorder from March 1st – March 20th 2012. The price will be $120 and you get an free exclusive incentive if you preorder.

Hot Toys recently announced on their Facebook page that they are producing a 1/6th scale action figure based on Batman’s appearance in the Arkham City videogame.

Today, I continue my review of Hasbro’s first wave of 2012 Marvel Legends with a look at Thor and Hope Summers. Once again, I’m doing more than one figure in a review to help me get through wave 1 quicker. Like before, I won’t skip on any details. So, what do I think of the new Thor and Hope Summer figures?

Marvelousnews is reporting that people are finding the second wave of Hasbro’s new Marvel Legends in stores right now. So far, reports only indicate them being found at places such as Walmart. This is really unexpected, considering wave 1 is just now hitting retail and most people are still trying to find it. For anyone who budgets their action figure monthly intake, this will be some bad news.

I’m doing something different this time with the review. I want to get through the entire first wave of the new Marvel Legends, and to do so I’m going to do review a few figures at a time. Don’t worry, I won’t skimp on any details, I just felt like consolidating. Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to find variant cases of the figures, so my Iron Man figure here is the blue stealth variant. The sculpt is the exact same though, so so the review should help you regardless of which version you find. So, are the new Marvel Legends figures worth all the hype?

We can’t confirm anyone specific, but there will be three oversized DCU figs as part of CIE in 2012.

DCUC will not be in retail anymore, that is understood.
We have seen the first 2 waves of DC All Stars.
Are there any thoughts of expanding the waves to 6-7 figures, and also to include a C & C?
It seems DC Direct has added some figures to their display booth, including new Arkham City figures. Shown are the new Joker clown thug, which is the exact same sculpt as the one previously revealed, only with a different paint job. Also shown were the prototypes for Azrael and Ra’s Al Ghul, which were only previously revealed as concept art.
