Wow! This is certainly a nice surprise. It looks like the first wave of the new 2012 Marvel Legends have finally been spotted here in the United States. There have already been sightings of these figures in the Philippines, so we knew it would be just a short time before they started showing up in America.

News – Prototype Toy From Cancelled Superman Lives
TimBurton.jp revealed a couple of photos of a Superman Lives toy prototype. The prototype is of the recovery mech Superman suit and was designed by Hasbro (who had the rights to make DC related toys at the time). The movie was set to be directed by Tim Burton and star Nicholas Cage as Superman. It’s not perfect (by any stretch of the definition of the word), but you can definitely see a hint of Cage in there. Remember, this was in the mid-90’s, before the action figure Renaissance that gave us great collector figures. If you’re just now hearing about the proposed Superman Lives movie, you can browse around their site and see a lot of concept art and test shots from the movie that never came to fruition (much to the joy of geeks all around the world).

Review – The Tick – Indie Spotlight, Shocker Toys
The Tick was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Even then I loved the irreverent humor, the style, and the unique and interesting characters. Ben Edlund created The Tick as a comic book that premiered in 1988. It was a huge indie success that later was adapted into the aforementioned cartoon by Fox in 1993. Bandai produced a toy line to coincide with the cartoon series that was actually pretty extensive. It had several variants of The Tick himself as well as most of the characters (both hero and villain) that were portrayed in the show as an action figure. It was cool for what it was, but ever since then has left collectors wanting. The Tick has never really been done justice in action figure form. Until now, that is.
Welcome to Mint Condition Customs
Hello there, and welcome to Mint Condition Customs.
This website is used by me, John Harmon, to showcase my custom action figures. I’ve been customizing professionally since 2007 and have had a previous website showcasing my customs for several years already. However, that website is extremely outdated, and I wanted a new site to not only display my work, but to also make it more interactive.
Here you can view my entire past catalog of custom figures by clicking the link “custom figure archive“, and view several of my latest customs towards the top of the page right under the header. If you see any of my customs that you particularly like, you can share them on a number of social networking sites. There is a series of buttons at the bottom of each custom entry for you to do this, so please feel free to spread the word and share my work.
I customize figures full time and am taking commissions, so if you’re interested then don’t hesitate to contact me! In addition to commissions, I also sell some of my work on eBay, so feel free to check often.
I also offer up a service of action figure repair, for those with a figure that is too rare or expensive to fully replace.
And of course check this space frequently for action figure and toy reviews, news, as well as all sorts of pop culture related goodness.
So once again, Welcome to Mint Condition Customs and enjoy your stay.
